Robert “Bob” McKenney, 70, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.

He was born March 25, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was injured while in the service. Bob owned and managed Colbeth Enterprises Inc., a handicap equipment company in Mentor, Ohio. He was a member of PVA, DAV and Elks.

Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen; daughters, Elizabeth McKenney of Tampa, Fla., and Colleen Kirkland of Punta Gorda, Fla.; sister, Sara (Don) Bates of Englewood, Fla.; and grandchildren, Danielle Cummins, Brooke Kirkland and Ryan Diez. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack.

Services are pending.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
