Thomas W. Vennaro, 80, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct, 24, 2012.

He was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Lowell, Mass., the son of Harry and Katherine (nee Wood) Bell.

Thomas served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division as Master Sergeant during the Korean War. He was a bus driver in Manhatten, N.Y., for 25 years with the New York City Transit and retired in 1982. Thomas moved to this area from Contoocook, N.H., in September 1998. He was a member of the U.S. Parachute Association. Thomas was very active and enjoyed sky driving up to his 75th birthday. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and generosity.

Thomas will be greatly missed by his wife, Rosalie; step-daughter, Kimberly and John Izad; step-son Gene Mayo; sister, Sandra Nadeau; and step-granddaughter, Julia Izad. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Katherine Bell; and niece, Tracy Fellows.

No service is planned at this time. Inurnment will be in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Welfare League of Port Charlotte. To express condolences to the family, please visit www.Ltaylorfuneral.com and sign the online guestbook.
