Frank J. Tieren

Frank J. Tieren, 86, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.

He was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Elizabeth (nee DePetro) Tieren and Frank J. Tieren Sr.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2153. He was a volunteer for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Jean; son, Richard (Yuka); daughters, Donna (Joseph) DiSanti and Joyce (John) Dye; stepsons, Drew (Kathleen) Cangelosi and Joseph (Kathleen) Cangelosi; grandchildren, Lauren (Frank) Vescio, Stephanie (Brian) Ising and Dante Costabile; step-grandchildren, Jessica Cangelosi and Melissa (Matthew) Kingsland; and step-great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Mila Kingsland. He was preceded in death by his loving first wife of 50 years, Elsie.

A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear St., Port Charlotte, FL 33948.

Arrangements are by ICS Cremation.
