Patti D. Weddle, 65, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and formerly of Damascus, Md., passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.

She was born June 3, 1947, in Pageton, W.Va, and was the daughter of Edward Woodrow and Hattie Lauvone (nee Ham) Steelman.

Patti retired from IBM Corporation after 31 years, and always loved the work and friends she made during that time in her life. She was a loving partner, mother, grandmother and friend.

Patti will be greatly missed by her love, Ronald Williamson; son, Christopher (Nina) Thomas; daughter, Jodi Beth (Vicky) Donlon; stepdaughters, Michele (Glenn) Rauchwarg and Megan Williamson; stepons, Chip (Melani), and Steven (Annette); brothers, Ralph (Juanita) Steelman and Thyer (Sylvia) Steelman; sisters, Bernice (Gene) Thompson, Ginny Shaw, Sandy Constance and Donna Eaton; sisters-in-law, Ruthann Steelman and Susan Steelman; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends she had acquired during her fulfilling life. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, “Little Ed”; brothers, Bobby Steelman, Jesse Steelman and Eddie Steelman; and brother-in-law, Charles Shaw.

A memorial service to celebrate Patti’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
