Duane C. Fenner

Duane C. Fenner, 75, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He was born June 19, 1937, in Branch County, Mich., to Homer Fenner and Eva French Fenner.

Duane came to Port Charlotte from Colon, Mich., Oct. 1, 1965. He graduated from Colon High School in 1955, and attended Michigan State College for two years. He was a maintenance supervisor for Eagle Point Mobile Home Park, and a state-licensed water-plant operator, retiring from Charlotte Correctional Institution in 2007.

Duane is survived by his children, Duane E. Fenner of Bradenton, Fla., Teresa Slatton of Punta Gorda, Fla., and George Fenner of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; grandchildren, Angela, Destiny and Jacob; sisters, Glea, Marilyn, Carol and Shirley; and brothers, Homer and Roger. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte. Please visit the online tribute for Duane C. Fenner at www.kays-ponger.com.
