Mildred P. Meyer
Mildred P. Meyer, 94, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Port Charlotte.
She was born to Walter and Jessie May (nee Huff) King, July 20, 1918, in Springfield, Ohio.
Mildred moved to Punta Gorda, Fla., in 1972, with her husband Clarence L. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Punta Gorda, Fla.
She is survived by her son, James (Barbara Jane) Meyer of North Port, Fla.; niece, Barbara Menke of Port Charlotte; four granddaughters, Michelle Bradley, Penni Canter, Deborah Horton and Christine Meyer; great-granddaughter, Kayla Barker; two great-grandsons, Tristin Chapman and Carl Horton III; great-nephew, Tony (Janie) Menke; two great-great-nieces, Nicole Boyd and Kristina Menke; and a great-great-nephew, Shaun Bridges. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, who passed in 2004.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda. The Rev. Barrett Hardin, pastor, will officiate. Her burial will be private at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and share memories after the service at the funeral home.
