Help needed in case of purloined pickup
PORT CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help to identify a man who allegedly stole a pickup and other items from another man while the victim was working out at a local gym.
According to a report, the theft took place around 1 p.m. Thursday. The owner of the Ford F-150 truck phoned authorities after discovering his keys had been stolen from his locker at Achieve Fitness, located on the 4300 block of Kings Highway in Schoolhouse Square.
The victim reported that his wallet was also inside the vehicle, and discovered that his credit cards had been used at Walgreens, Walmart, Best Buy and possible other locations, the report states.
