PORT CHARLOTTE — A man and a woman were arrested on grand theft felony charges after a Walmart employee identified them from a flier distributed to store associates, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Teara Anne Sander, 22, and Terry Wayne Davis, 32, both of the 3600 block of Dunreath Road, were arrested Tuesday and charged with grand theft after allegedly taking a big-screen television from the Walmart in Murdock earlier this month.

According to the report, a surveillance video showed footage of the couple and two small children leaving the store with a 47-inch television in their cart. The report said Sander asked for assistance loading the TV in her car.

Walmart security came up with names and photographs of Sander and Davis and distributed a flier to store associates, according to the report. The two were positively identified by an associate who recognized them from the flier. They were taken to Charlotte County Jail, where they remain.
