CHARLOTTE COUNTY — Beginning Monday, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will increase traffic enforcement at the following locations:

Speed enforcement:

• Entire length of Veterans Boulevard, Port Charlotte.

• Entire length of Placida Road, from Englewood to Placida.

Traffic light/stop sign enforcement:

• U.S. 41 and Harbor Boulevard, Port Charlotte.

• U.S. 41 and State Road 776, Port Charlotte.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

• Elizabeth Dawn Apple, 22, 3100 block of Crestwood Drive, Punta Gorda. Charge: violation of probation. Bond: none.

• Humberto J. Baez, 29, 20500 block of Midway Blvd., Port Charlotte. Charges: two counts of battery. Bond: none.

• Cartrina Lenette Platt, 37, 19800 block of Midway Blvd., Port Charlotte. Charges: failure to appear and prostitution. Bond: none.

• Kian Hugh Johnston, 27, of North Fort Myers. Charge: violation of probation. Bond: none.

• Christopher John Williams, 36, 1700 block of Fessler St., Englewood. Charges: possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and driving with a suspended license. Bond: $3,000.

• Michael Douglas Mills, 30, 300 block of Boundary Blvd., Englewood. Charge: violation of probation. Bond: none.

• Kayla Tai Porter, 22, of Brooksville, Fla. Charges: three counts each of grand theft, providing false verification of ownership to a secondhand dealer and dealing in stolen property; and one count each of smuggling contraband into a jail and possession of a controlled substance. Bond: $87,500.

• John Russell Maddens, 28, of Brooksville, Fla. Charges: grand theft, providing false verification of ownership to a secondhand dealer and dealing in stolen property. Bond: $30,000.

• Shannon Louise Turvill, 32, 27100 block of Cougar Place, Punta Gorda. Charge: violation of probation. Bond: none.

• Ida Lee Hosey, 21, 11300 block of Visby Ave., Port Charlotte. Charges: possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a county ordinance. Bond: $2,500.

• Angel Manuel Cruz, 39, 1300 block of Adalia Terrace, Port Charlotte. Charge: driving while license is suspended. Bond: $500.

• Luis Antonio Rosa, 53, 2200 block of Lakeview Blvd., Port Charlotte. Charge: battery. Bond: none.

• Lance D. Beals, 42, homeless in Port Charlotte. Charge: disturbing the peace. Bond: $500.

• David Ryan Keyser, 25, a North Port resident whose address was withheld by the Sheriff’s Office. Charge: DUI. Bond: $750.

The Punta Gorda Police reported the following arrest:

• Kyle Mitchell Friend, 21, 17300 block of Dudley St., Port Charlotte. Charge: loitering or prowling. Bond: $500.
