The season didn’t start so auspiciously for the Charlotte High School’s junior varsity football team.
It started during an Aug. 30 game against Port Charlotte High School. The Pirates returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, which isn’t surprising when you consider the Tarpons only had nine guys on the field.
