The Deep Creek Golf Club will hold its inaugural Deep Creek Open this weekend, hosting professional and amateur golfers in what it hopes will become an annual event.

Deep Creek general manager Todd Evans said he chose to host an event in September because most scrambles and tournaments in the area don’t occur until October and November.
