When the 2-2 Port Charlotte High School’s junior varsity football team hosted winless Braden River High School on Sept. 27, the Pirates recovered its own onside kick to begin the game on the Braden River’s 48-yard line. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the quarter.
Port Charlotte’s first play lost 6 yards. Then there was a 9-yard loss followed by the Pirates losing the ball on a fumble on the 35 yard line.
