PUNTA GORDA — Three weeks later than planned, Punta Gorda Speedway held its second-half opener Saturday, and Daryl Shelnut of Lake City earned the top prize.

Shelnut won the 100-lap Super Late Model feature, the sixth race in the season-long SLM series at the track.
