NORTH PORT — When Venice running back Terry Polk fumbled on the Indians’ first possession of Friday night’s game at North Port High School, it seemed as though Venice would be in for a struggle.

Instead, it turned out to be a speed bump on the Indians’ collision course with one of the best teams in the nation next week. The Indians responded from an early deficit to rout North Port 41-14.
