LAKE PLACID — DeSoto County High took most of the fight out of Avon Park with a big comeback in game two of the District 4A-10 championship Thursday. They took the rest with five serves by Krysta Court.

Bulldogs coach Laura White called a timeout with her team up 19-15 in game three, but fading. They had let the Red Devils back in the game from an 18-8 deficit with a combination of errant passes and miscommunications. Court served five straight to get the team to match point. Avon Park had the last serve; after a few volleys, Tishonna Riley tipped it over the net for the win and a 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-16) district championship.
