NORTH PORT — Eleven-year-old Sheralyn Hibbons loves to run, but her family’s economic challenges precluded her from taking part in
local races — until she met North Port businessman Dean McConville, who learned of her plight and covered her registration fees.

“I have run close to 50 races and I’ve won a lot of them,” Sheralyn said. “I couldn’t have done any of this without Dean. I think it’s great, what he’s done for me.”
