Finger canals on South Manasota Key crested to the lips of their sea walls Monday as Tropical Storm Isaac passed by in the Gulf.
A preliminary assessment after Tropical Storm Isaac brushed past the area at the beginning of the week shows “very little” damage, according to Sarasota County Recovery Chief Scott Montgomery.
“We really don’t have any damage to report to residential or commercial structures, or infrastructures like roadways and parks,” Montgomery said. “We definitely didn’t get the impact that we got from Tropical Storm Debby in June. We owe a big thank you to the public for watching the storm and being on the ready.”
