A federal judge will decide whether to reinstate Fisherman’s Wharf’s bankruptcy proceeding based on the outcome of Tuesday’s adoption of a dock permitting ordinance by the city of Venice.

An ordinance granting the city authority to issue dock permits passed 6-1 on final reading Tuesday. Council Member Jim Bennett was the lone vote against it
