NORTH PORT — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a North Port woman Monday after a neighbor called to report she left a 2-year-old boy outside naked and playing in the rain.

According to an
SCSO report, deputies responded to the Granada Boulevard home around 11:30 a.m.
Monday after the neighbor, who found the child outside, called the Sheriff’s Office. Ashley Elizabeth Fannon, 21, was contacted at the Venice restaurant where she is a cashier and agreed to co me home.Fannon was arrested and charged with child neglect without great harm. She remains at the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
