NORTH PORT — Members of People for Trees Inc. will present the third annual Tour de North Port on Oct. 21. Beginning and ending at Dallas White Park in North Port, the organized on-road bicycle ride is a fundraiser to benefit the group’s efforts to create a kid-friendly environmental discovery center, “TreeWiz.”

For the first time, this year’s Tour de North Port is offering a “Century Ride” — a 100-mile route that will take riders to all four corners of North Port and beyond, including the Warm Mineral Springs Day Spa and the Myakka River.
