A 21-year-old man arrested in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in Venice describes himself as a nondrinking, nonsmoking gangster who became a Muslim and wants to join the U.S. Navy.

Hamza Al Ghani, from North Port, is accused of sexually assaulting a 25-year-old woman Friday after conning her into helping find his lost wallet.
