Our journey began in June 2010, when my husband, Pat, was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer.

It was a shock for both of us and we both shed some tears. It never showed up on the chest X-ray he had the previous month during his yearly physical. Although Pat tells everyone that he smoked for more than 40 years, he also served in the Army in Vietnam and was exposed daily for more than a year to Agent Orange.
