SARASOTA COUNTY — Officials from the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Office will begin the recount Monday for the Sarasota County Charter Amendment question, which ended with only 322 votes separating the no votes from the yeses.

Sarasota County voters defeated the proposed charter amendment, but due to the close margin, Florida law mandates a recount. The canvassing board met Friday and officially scheduled the recount to begin at 8 a.m.
Monday.
