Michael “Mike” Harrison, 57, lifelong resident of Venice, passed away at home Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012.

He formerly worked for D&R Builders and was a member of the Venice Bass Club. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura of Venice; sister, Jacqueline (Mel) Ballard of Owosso, Mich.; father- and mother-in-law, Glenn and Dorothy Slabaugh; sisters-in-law Alice (Allen) Rummel of Bradenton and Anita (Dave) Touring of Jacksonville; and many nieces and nephews, including niece Kelly and nephew Jason. He was pre-deceased by his twin brother, Richard Harrison (2007) and his parents, Roland and Doris Harrison (2007).

Services: Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, Sept. 10, 11 a.m., at Ewing Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Jesse Knight Cemetery.
