Jonathan Dean Shidler, 25, a lifelong resident of Venice, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.

He graduated from Venice High School in 2006. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Jonathan was an organ donor, and at least six people have received the gift of life.

Jonathan is survived by his parents, Dean and Susan Shidler of Venice; brother, Jeffrey Shidler; and sister, Jennifer Shidler Allen, also of Venice. He is also survived by his grandparents and many close friends.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Maxine Barritt Park, Venice. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
