Emily Sue Lyons, 72, of Venice, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012.

Emily was born June 18, 1940, in Highlands, N.C., to the late Tina Savilla (Henry) and James Thomas Gibson. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie Gibson, Harold Gibson, Peggy Erskine, Alice Crane, Johnny Gibson and James Gibson. Survivors include her children, Paul (Donna) Lyons, Ronnie Lyons (Jeff Seitz), Teresa (James) Marcolini and Angela (Michael) Quinn; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Myrtis (Corbin) Talley, Mary (James) Davis, Clyde (Linda) Gibson and Agnes (Merlin) Crowe.
