David Ramsay, 95, of Venice, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.
He was born Aug. 13, 1917, and was formerly of Westbury, Long Island, N.Y. David was a World War I I veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was supervisor of mechanics for New York Airways and Sikorsky Helicopters in New York. He was a member of American Legion Post 159 in Venice and VFW Post 8118.
He is survived by his son Bill, of Venice ; his son John, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; his daughter, Janet, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; two grandsons, Tyler and Austin Ramsay, of Naples, Fla.; two granddaughters, Kristen and Lindsay Ramsay, of Venice; and a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn of Venice.
His family will keep him close to their hearts and miss him dearly.
