Irene Mentil, age 92, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.

She was born in Crabtree, Pa., and was the youngest daughter of Mary and Michael Toth. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Mentil, in 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette (Geoff) Mielenz, and son, William Mentil Jr.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Irene was a friend to all who knew her, beloved by her extended family.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Center Road, Venice.
