Thyrsa Annette Campbell (née Becker) passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in Venice Regional Medical Center, Venice.

Born Dec. 23, 1923, in South Haven, Mich., the daughter of Geta Tucker Becker and Harry F. Becker, M.D., Thyrsa had two sisters, Geta Becker Bowers (deceased) and Shirley Becker Nickels of Waterford, Va. Of her four children, Kathleen died at birth and three survive: Richard J. Jr. (Carol) of Fishers, Ind., Dr. Bruce (Dr. Maryse Fauvel) of Williamsburg, Va., and Douglas, of Venice, Fla.

Thyrsa graduated in 1945 from Randolph Macon Women’s College, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She married Richard J. Campbell, M.D., Jan. 23, 1946, in Norfolk, Va., and they lived and raised their family in Battle Creek, Mich., Placida and Englewood, Fla. until Dr. Campbell’s passing in 1994. Most recently, she lived in Village On The Isle in Venice.

Services: Burial will be in Battle Creek.
