Joan S. Brown, 82, of Venice, formerly of Clinton, Md., born April 2, 1930, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry.

Survivors include her children, Patti Hartley, Pam Moralee and Harry Brown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Joan came to Venice in 1969, and with her husband she developed and operated the Venice Campgrounds and R.V. Park until her retirement in 1989.

Joan was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Council 7052, and a longtime member of Epiphany Cathedral. Joan will be remembered for bringing laughter and sunshine to the lives of all she met.

Services: A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Epiphany Cathedral. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
