Joseph “Joe” Anania, 82, of Venice, formerly of Bronx, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Sicily, Italy. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Germany. Joe moved to Venice in 1991 and made many friends and enjoyed his garden and fruit trees. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose.

Services: Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 6, with a prayer service at 4 p.m., at Ewing Funeral Home.
