The Venice High Indians scored early and often on the road against Booker High Friday night.
Venice received the opening kickoff and drove to the Booker 30 before turning the ball over on downs. But the Indians forced a three-and-out and partially blocked the ensuing Tornadoes punt, taking over on the Booker 48. Running back Terry Polk’s 22-yard gain was followed by a 21-yard pass from quarterback Kale Youtzy to fullback Dom Fanti. Fanti punched in the touchdown from one yard out to give Venice a 7-0 lead.
