On the heels of an impressive 35-14 win over Lehigh last week, the Venice Indians (3-1) will host rival Sarasota (2-2) in both teams’ district opener Friday.

The win over Lehigh was Venice’s cleanest game of the season. The penalties and missed assignments that had hampered the Indians in previous weeks were nowhere to be seen as Venice easily dispatched a talented Lightning squad.
