Indians sweep Sailors; play for district title Thursday

The Venice Indians volleyball team made quick work of Sarasota in the 7A-District 11 semifinals Tuesday night, sweeping the Sailors 25-10, 25-15, 25-13.
Holly Mattmuller had a team-high 18 kills and Danika Yoder contributed 39 assists for the Indians, who hope to win their 17th district title in 19 years when they travel to Manatee Thursday night.
