Indians advance to district semis

The VHS girls soccer team advanced to the 4A District 11 semifinals with a 1-0 win over a scrappy Sarasota Sailors squad Monday night.
Cassandra Kerrigan’s goal in the 29th minute proved to be the game winner for the Indians, who got all they could handle from a Sarasota team that went 1-19 and scored just nine goals all season.
